About

DeKO (Default Knowledge about Objects) is a large-scale, RDF knowledge base of prototypical knowledge about objects.

  • Large-scale because its knowledge is learned from real-world data automatically.
  • RDF because we want to reuse existing standards as much as posible, to favor interchange and mutual integration between resources.
  • Prototypical knowledge because DeKO contains facts that are typically true, but not necessarily true in every possible situation. It is meant to be a repository of common sense knowledge for agents to fall back on, when other sources of knowledge (perception, Web queries, reasoning) fail.
  • About objects because they are all around us!
